I nominate my husband Jason. He is a Staff Sergeant  in The United States Marine Corps. My husband has been deployed already to Kuwait and Iraq, and we just got word that he is leaving shortly for a year long deployment in Afghanistan.

My hero is Jessica Lara of San Antonio, TX. Not only is she a single mother but she has been cursed with having me as her boyfriend. You see, I am extremely ill and disabled. So much so, that even though we live five minutes away I can only see her once or twice a month as I am normally too sick to leave the house or have guests.

He is my hero, because without his accomplishments, none of these other heroes would be getting recognition right now.

My Hero is the Red Cross in Butte County, and all across America.
I see them in action when me and my fellow Amateur Radio Operators go out in an emergency.

We watch them rescue people and animals in the most trying of times.
I have seen it in floods, earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, and fires.

My hats are off to the Red Cross.

Aaron volunteers for the local fire department and works with mentally disabled children everyday, helping them meet their goals they have set for there life.

He also works in a group home part time taking care of mentally disabled adults, helping them live with the same standard of living you and i take for grant-it everyday. he also just got a 4th job working at the local hospital to help pay for a new car he just bought.
