A mild earthquake struck northern Illinois early this morning, catching much of suburban Chicago unprepared, yet unharmed. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported that a magnitude 4.3 magnitude quake struck at 3:59 AM, but later revised that magnitude to 3.8.
Law enforcement received many concerned calls, but no one there were no reports of injuries from the quake, which was felt as far afield as Tennessee.
